The practical motorcycle test

The new motorcycle test went live on Monday 27 April 2009. It aims to improve the standard of road safety for motorcycle and moped riders. This user group has been identified as having a high risk of injury or death, this is particularly the case for young and inexperienced riders.

 

Reporting for your practical test

You must bring the following items with you to module 1 of your test. If you do not, the Driving Standards Agency may refuse to carry out the test and you may lose your fee.

 

What will the test include?

Module 2 of the test is made up of the eyesight test, road safety questions and at least 30 minutes of road riding. Road riding will cover a variety of road and traffic conditions and will also include normal stops, hill and angle starts.
